Laser Pros International History |

Laser Pros International, (LPI), was formed in 1990 by company president Steve Spencer. Steve had been working at Prototype Design, a company that made one part, a fuser roller, for the original LaserJet printer. It was there that he first conceived Laser Pros International, a company that would quickly grow to one of the world's largest suppliers of laser printer parts and accessories, something for which there was a growing demand.
With the company's continued success, milestones along the way include:
- May 1992 - Initially operating out of Steve's home with limited space and resources, LPI moved into its first location: a 500 sq. ft. building in Madison, Wisconsin. LPI also introduced their HP Certified Technical Support team to better meet the needs of the growing number of customers.
- September 1993 - The continued success from their first move less than 2 years ago required an even larger site to keep up with order demand. LPI expanded to a 4,000 sq. ft. facility of office and warehouse space; a significant move for the young company.
- January 1996 - LPI moved to a larger facility located in Oregon, WI. This facility provided 10,000 sq. ft. of space for Laser Pros International to continue in its onward growth.
- Spring 1998 - Laser Pros expands once again in the form of a brand new building which serves as corporate headquarters and distribution center. The 40,000 sq. ft. facility is located just outside of Rhinelander, WI. This move reflected not only Laser Pros' continued success, but also the Spencer's desire to return to their home community.
- May 2010 - To provide faster, more economical solutions nationwide, a 2nd distribution center was opened on the West Coast. Located just minutes from the airport and Strip in Las Vegas, the 11,000 sq. ft. facility stocks a full line of OEM and Remanufactured printer parts. Not only does the new warehouse allow LPI to more efficiently meet existing needs and provide faster turn-around for orders, it is also designed to support projected future growth as well.
- December 2010 - On the Move Again - Laser Pros opens an all-new 22,500 square foot distribution center in Pennsylvania. "Providing the largest one day ground delivery service to our customers was the ultimate goal with launching two new distribution centers in the same year." said Denny Dunn, Director of Operations at Laser Pros International. He also added "In essence, LPI offers next day service at True ground rates."
