Description:
The RM2-5715 feed drive assembly plays a key role in controlling and ensuring the proper movement of paper throughout the printer. Over time, the internal gears and components within this assembly can wear down, leading to several common issues and error codes.
Typical Symptoms of a Failing RM2-5715
- When the feed drive begins to fail, users may experience:
- Grinding noises from the right side of the printer (often mistaken as coming from the rear)
- Frequent paper jams or 13.B2.D2 paper jam errors from tray 2
- 60.02 tray lift errors
- 41.03 unexpected paper size errors
How to Identify
If your device makes a grinding noise during startup or while feeding paper, especially from the right side, there’s a high likelihood that the RM2-5715 feed drive is the culprit.
A visual inspection may also reveal worn or cracked gears/components inside the assembly.
